Ann Hansen-bio

Ann H. Hansen, P.E.


Ann Hansen serves as a senior fellow for Oak Ridge Strategy Group, Inc. (ORSG).  In her position, Ann specializes in conducting evaluations and investigations of various technologies and industrial incidents and near misses.  Her current emphasis is in the area of product ingredient substitution and food safety.  In addition, she continues to provide strategic nuclear safety and licensing advice and regulatory support to a publicly traded company.

Prior to joining ORSG, Ann founded H&R Technical Associates, Inc. and also served as President and Board Chair.  H&R specialized in providing project management and regulatory support in the areas of nuclear, environmental and worker safety regulation to a variety of Federal and private clients.    The company received numerous awards of excellence from several of its corporate and Federal clients.

Ann holds a B.S. summa cum laude in mathematics and physics from Florida Southern College, which she continues to serve on its Board of Trustees.  She graduated cum laude from Virginia Polytechnic University and State University with an M.S. in physics and from Carnegie-Mellon University magna cum laude with an M.S. in nuclear engineering.  She is a registered Professional Engineer and has received national recognition by the National Society of Professional Engineers. She has also been trained as a corporate facilitator.
